Marble, granite and Quartz does cost more than other countertop materials, with the majority of the price coming from labor costs. Installing marble, granite or Quartz countertops is not a project for the do-it-yourself, if home owner, seeking to save money on installation costs. Installation must be left to the professionals who have the right training and equipment. We are one of the best possible staff in the field. However, a homeowner can save money on same of the preliminary preparation and demolition work. Before the process of installing marble, granite or Quartz countertops can begin, the old countertops, range tops and sinks must be thoroughly removed. The remainder of the installation process must be left to the professionals. The installation phase can take the better part of a day, and require some final cutouts to be made in your home. Please keep in mind that this is major remodeling job, there may be some residual dust over the next couple of days, be sure to check items left in cabinets. We recommend the drawers be removed. Some dust can result even though our installers are equipped to catch the majority of it.

 

Prior to the installation, metal rods and plywood strips will be added to the top of the cabinetry to create a strong, level surface with additional support for the sink and range. This is a critical step, as it prevents the marble or granite slab from breaking during regular use. Success of a marble or granite installation includes attention to the varying thickness of a slab. Although slabs are carefully cut, there be high and low spots, therefore, leveling is an important step of the preparation process to protect the stone. Our company's main goal is the jointing seams will be sealed and the edge will be treated to create a smooth, less visible, attractive perimeter. Our installers will note the positioning of electrical outlets, the sinks, and the faucets, as the thickness of the marble and granite may alter some of the process for re-installation of these items. The installers will also be make adjustments for setting a cook top or slide-in stove.

 

Sealant is applied (if necessary) as the final step in your marble or granite countertop installation. When by ours installers properly installed marble, granite or Quartz countertops are a beautiful and valuable addition to any home kitchen or bathroom.
